“System: a set of principles or procedures according to which something is done; an organized scheme or method.”
We put together and participate in systems every day.
Everything from what we accept is legal, to how we access healthcare to the ways our children learn, are governed by systems.
But do we ever put systems in place to led awesome lives?
Life is not a Dress Rehearsal
We only have a finite time on this plane, so it makes sense to be entirely intentional about our experience here.
Over the past year, I’ve come to appreciate the importance of systems, processes and cultivating habits.
A Quick System for a Spectacular Life
If you’re looking for some inspiration, here’s a podcast from Robin Sharma, titled, “A Quick System for a Spectacular Life.”
Highlights:
- Pick a legend statement. What will you be remembered for?
- Decide on life laws. Don’t die might be one. Sharma’s not suggesting you embark on a quest to become immortal, but rather that you take to look after yourself and your health.
- I also loved the idea of writing down three awesome things that happened to you each night before bed. There’s nothing like a little gratitude to boost the spirits now and then.
Do you have a system to live an awesome life?
